About Ackworth School

Ackworth School, established almost 250 years ago, is a co-educational day and boarding school for students aged 2-18. A dynamic and forward-thinking school, it strives to develop resilient individuals who not only think creatively, but also act ethically and with responsibility – encouraging students to express themselves with confidence.

Boarding at Ackworth School

Boarding is available to students aged 11-18. The school’s main aim is to provide a ‘home from home’ – a place where boarders can relax, feel safe, and enjoy each other’s company. Students’ wellbeing is of utmost importance, and House Staff are on hand to support students at any time. In addition to this, Ackworth offers a fun-filled weekend programme for the students to keep them busy at all times!
