An exciting Performing Arts programme is offered by the School, with first-class musicals and plays performed regularly. Orchestras and choirs tour internationally and play at major venues, including the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Cadogan Hall, Goodwood House and the Royal Pavilion, Brighton.
Whitgift School enjoys close links with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, enabling pupils to learn side-by-side with professional musicians. Co-curricular activities feature more than 80 clubs, an Outdoor Education programme that travels worldwide, and a well-established Combined Cadet Force. Whitgift’s sport is at the forefront of achievement, with over 130 national titles won in the past five years. 40 sports are available, including modern pentathlon, golf, judo and cycling. Many boys represent their country in a wide variety of sports or go on to pursue a career at the highest level.
The School’s Boarding House, opened in 2013, is superbly-equipped and offers full, weekly and flexi-boarding to boys aged 13-18. Boarders have cutting-edge IT equipment, private study areas, en-suite bathrooms and spacious, communal social areas with kitchen facilities.
