Boarding at Fettes College
Fettes College has nine boarding houses – four boys’ houses; four girls’ houses and one co-ed Upper Sixth form house. In the Prep School there are two boarding houses – one for boys and one for girls .
Fettes College offers full boarding, with all senior school students – day and boarding – being part of a boarding House. The boarding Houses at Fettes are central to our lives; the day doesn’t end at 4.00pm and the weekends are full and vibrant. We love our day students; they are part of the boarding Houses, and every opportunity is completely open to them, but a full boarding ethos is at our core. Lifelong friendships are made, trust is fostered, and loyalty forged. One student said, “I look back on the sense of community and togetherness that the House system fostered in each of us, and appreciate how lucky we were to grow up in such a fun and thriving environment.”
