About Trent College

Trent College

Trent College is a co-educational, independent day and boarding school situated in Long Eaton on the border of Nottingham and Derby. As a private school founded in 1868, Trent College combines the traditional with the modern, with the main building sitting at the heart of a striking 45-acre campus, complemented by modern facilities and created spaces. Students are equipped with the life skills to make the most of opportunity and the mindset to question and challenge.

This comes through nurturing confidence and inquisitive minds by combing robust, diverse academic challenges with a huge variety of extra-curricular opportunities that encourage students to find enjoyment through excellence in whatever they love, from the arts and sport to subject-based distinction, debating and more. We give the highest priority to the quality of our academic provision. We are also proud of our reputation for delivering a fully rounded curriculum, with sport, music, art and drama all being important elements of education at Trent and The Elms. This, coupled with a focus on the strongest pastoral care, makes us a school that nurtures young men and women to be the best they can be in terms of achievement and character, enabling them to flourish in a changing world.
