Brighton College, awarded ‘School of the Decade’ by the Sunday Times, is a co-educational day and boarding school for students aged 3-18. Perfectly located on the south coast of England, the school is central in the city of Brighton with views of the sea and within walking distance of Brighton Pier and the South Downs countryside.

The priority of the staff at Brighton College is ensuring that every student is treated as an individual and supported in pursuing their own unique talents and interests. The passionate teachers allow students to achieve highly and students go on to prestigious universities such as Cambridge, Oxford, UCL and Bristol, as well as top North American universities.

The school has an excellent pastoral system which allows everyone to feel supported in their personal matters, and there is a mentor system in place in which older students provide support to younger students in the school.

Boarding at Brighton College

There are different types of boarding on offer at Brighton College, weekly boarding and full boarding. This allows students to gently ease into boarding life or split their time between school and home if they wish. All boarders benefit from the school’s state of the art facilities in the evenings and weekends. Weekend activities are planned regularly.

Brighton College prides itself on giving students a safe, home-like environment where students feel safe and comfortable. The medical centre and pastoral care available allows students to stay healthy both physically and mentally.

Co-Curricular Programmes

At Brighton College there is a real emphasis on making sport enjoyable for everyone. The incredible facilities available including a double-height sports hall, rooftop running track and 25-metre length swimming pool allow students to excel in all areas of sport, with over 30 Old Brightonians having represented their country in a sport in the last 10 years.

Brighton College has a jam-packed arts calendar which has a full range of music, dance, drama and art activities. Again, there is a real emphasis on participation and students are able to take part both on and off the stage depending on what their preference is. The school puts on four major productions each year showcasing the students’ incredible talent. Impressively, 100% of the grades achieved for Art at GCSE and A-Level were an A*.
